This new exhibition consists of stationary works as well as interactive and generative digital installations adapted to the site’s monumental scale. Inspired by the great oceanic depths that make up two-thirds of the planet, the artist, a pioneer of virtual and digital art, pursues his exploration of nature via a recurring underwater flora and fauna theme (seaweed, plankton, radiolarians, coral...). In a poetic and metaphoric manner, he explores the link between nature and artifice, two entities that coexist and enrich one another.
Digital Abysses resonates harmoniously with the space, being at once mineral, aquatic, and botanic. An element of surprise is maintained throughout the exhibition, between dream and reality, where the visitors are immersed in a strange universe full of mystery. It recalls the great, mostly unexplored, oceanic depths that serve as an extraordinary source of imagination.
