In 2012, the artist Martine Martine and her husband Léon Clingman founded of a room dedicated to children’s artistic practice. The opening of this new space marks an important milestone in the development of the action led by the musée Marmottan Monet with young audiences who are now able to offer workshops to school and families each working day.
The centenary of Léon Cligman – celebrated on May 26 – is the occasion to offer, in the room adjoining the gallery of Claude Monet’s Water Lilies, a tribute to his benefactors. The exhibition entitled “Martine Martine, tribute to Martine and Léon Cligman” retraces the commitment of the couple and their family in the arts since the beginning of the 20th century and presents a selection of works by Martine Martine.
