The Le Fresnoy National Contemporary Art Centre and the Pinault Collection have partnered to present an exhibition by Chilean artist Enrique Ramírez, Jusque-là [“Up to there”], which investigates how artists explore and grapple with the primordial issue of “the crossing” as a metaphor for the evolution of humanity.
Mixing productions by Enrique Ramírez with those of twelve artists featured in the Pinault Collection (Lucas Arruda,Yaël Bartana, Nina Canell, Latifa Echakhch, Vidya Gastaldon, Jean-Luc Moulène, Antoni Muntadas, Daniel Steegmann Mangrané, Paulo Nazareth, and Danh Vo) Jusque-là outlines a territory troubled by the artists’ major preoccupations with borders, the movement of peoples, political statements, and the cycles of life.
