In the continuity of the installations presented, since 2012, around digital creation, the Centre d'Arts et de Nature de Chaumont-sur-Loire opens a new page in its artistic history. Thanks to the inauguration of a permanent digital gallery in the east wing of the Château, which will present creations by major contemporary artists, it will offer the public unprecedented experiences of aesthetic immersion.

As a medium in its own right, digital art now qualifies as the 10th art.

Pursuing its vocation as a pioneer and transmitter, the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire has been interested in it since the creation of the Arts and Nature Centre. Digital art challenges both theoretical and sensitive certainties by involving the viewer more and more in his or her own visual development. Thus the forms that are born are not predictable, even if they are framed by choices made by the artist.

Digital art plays a lot on surprise and allows for an unprecedented exchange between the creator, the work and its public. The Digital Gallery at the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire will be dedicated to the promotion of this particular art form linked to contemporary technologies. And it is to the great Italian artist Quayola that a creation has been commissioned, bearing the name of Effets de soir, a world creation inaugurating this new space in the heart of the Château.
