The Bordeaux Museum - sciences and nature invites you to a journey through India, to discover its jungle and the ecosystems that surround it. But do we really know what a jungle is? The Sanskrit term "jāṅgala" primarily - and against all odds - refers to rugged and arid terrain.
Thanks to an immersive and playful scenography, visitors will go on a journey of discovery of animal species from very diverse environments and in particular of species emblematic of Rudyard Kipling's work! It is through the collection of short stories by Kipling, The Jungle Book published in 1894, that the term was popularized and took its meaning of "lush forest".
