Since the first discoveries in the 19th century, prehistoric art objects have always fascinated us. More recently, the numerous discoveries made over the last twenty years have enriched our knowledge. With the new methods of study and restitution, such as 3D facsimiles, we can now faithfully represent the objects and propose comparisons between cave art, rock art and furniture.
So what is this art for? Who made it? At what time? Is it really art? The exhibition answers these questions with the presentation of an exceptional number of prehistoric objects, some of which have never been shown before and others which are rarely shown to the public in France.
