Between a poorly digested past whose lessons we struggle to understand, and a future that is slipping away under our feet, we seem collectively stuck in a present that paradoxically imagines a future without a future.
The exhibition Antefuture formulates the hypothesis that other scenarios are possible. The exhibition thus proposes a subjective and necessarily biased view of this historical moment we are living.
By turns anxious, melancholic, humorous, combative or hopeful, the works of the artists exhibited do not propose definitive and univocal scenarios, but rather a kaleidoscope of points of view, emotions and speculative fictions that all attempt to circumscribe a complex and moving reality: our present.
