The LaM invites Wael Shawky (born in Alexandria in 1971 and of the most famous artist from the Middle-East) to present his last film, I am Hymns of the New Temples, shot among the remains of the city buried by Vesuvius in 79 BC.

After an international premiere in December 2022 at the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, the LaM is the first museum to present this new production, which bears witness to the mix and perpetual dialogue of cultures within Greco-Roman society. Alongside the film, the exhibition presents a series of drawings by the artist.
