Every summer, Le Havre turns into a seaside and cultural destination thanks to contemporary art, combining exhibitions, artistic performances and urban explorations.
This year, Un Été Au Havre invites twelve contemporary artists to explore the city and offer the public numerous places of encounter: sculptures, installations, fashion and video art... Contemporary art in all its forms will be on display from the train station to the city center, from the beach to the Docks Vauban shopping mall, and in many other neighborhoods.
These ephemeral works of art will complement the year-round collection of monumental open-air artworks displayed throughout the city.
The programme includes various walking routes that also reveal the many facets of Le Havre: a 2-kilometre beach in the heart of the city, Perret architecture listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, a remarkable botanical garden overlooking the sea, and the Seine estuary...
