From 1st July 2023, the artist Eva Jospin will take over the rooms of the Rendez-vous, Sous-sol programme initiated by the Collection Lambert in Avignon since 2019.

The artist's presence is part of the Carte blanche Ruinart, a project that the Avignon institution is hosting for the fourth year. She succeeds Vik Muniz, David Shrigley and Jeppe Hein.

At the same time, the artist's monumental works will occupy the prestigious rooms of the Palais des Papes and dialogue with the history of this emblematic place of the city, a series of works resulting from the artist's collaboration with Ruinart will occupy the rooms of the Avignon contemporary art centre.

The space of the Collection Lambert, whose architecture is reminiscent of the end scene of 2001: A Space Odyssey, will function as a contemporary mirror to the gothic setting of the Palais des Papes. The marvellous landscapes sculpted by the artist from cardboard will impregnate the white and luminous rooms with their sensitive power, like so many chambers of memories of our past, present and future lives.
