Mohamad Abdouni is the laureate of the 2024 Production Support from Lafayette Anticipations, awarded to one of the artists of the Galeries Émergentes sector of Paris+ par Art Basel.

As part of the official partnership between the Galeries Lafayette group and the Galeries Émergentes sector of Paris+ par Art Basel, this support is granted to one of the 14 artists of the sector. The winner will benefit from the production of an artwork in the workshops of the Lafayette Anticipations Fondation and receive curatorial guidance.

Through photographs, publications, and multi-narrative films, Mohamad Abdouni explores the personal and the intimate with the people he encounters, delving into their stories of resilience and passion.

His collaborative photographic journal, Cold Cuts, is recognized as the first printed publication dedicated to queer cultures in the SWANA (South West Asia and North Africa) region. It explores the uniqueness of identities within the region’s minority and marginalized communities.

Born in 1989 in Beirut, Mohamad Abdouni currently lives between Beirut and Istanbul.
