For its reopening exhibition after more than a year of renovation work, the Musée Jacquemart-André presents some forty masterpieces from Rome's famous Borghese Gallery.
Thanks to the partnership between the Musée Jacquemart-André and the Borghese Gallery - in the context of a renovation campaign scheduled for autumn 2024 - this exhibition presents a selection of exceptional works from this unique artistic ensemble.
In particular, the public is able to (re)discover the works of the great names of Italian art of the 16th and 17th centuries (Raphael, Antonello da Messina, Parmesan, Lorenzo Lotto, Titian, Veronese, Caravaggio, Bernini...) and of Nordic painters who lived in Italy (Rubens, Gerrit von Honthorst...).
The exhibition is also pay tribute to lesser-known painters such as Annibal Carracci, Guido Reni, Le Cavalier d'Arpin and Jacopo Bassano.
