Over the past 10 years, the Fonds Hélène & Édouard Leclerc (FHEL) pour la Culture has presented more than 20 major exhibitions in Landerneau, offering the general public an exhibition platform dedicated to all art forms and enabling the (re)discovery of emblematic artists of our time.
The Centre Pompidou, in partnership with the FHEL, celebrates the comic strip and organizes the biggest event ever devoted to the 9th art in Paris. It's not only a wonderful collaboration between the two venues, it's also a first. “La BD à tous les étages” will take place on every level of the Centre Pompidou, and will feature exhibitions, meetings and publications!
The FHEL has lent its expertise to the project, helping to draw up the program and federate artists, institutions, publishers, gallery owners and collectors. They are well known to the venue, having already been invited to Landerneau for major exhibitions devoted to comics: Métal Hurlant (À SUIVRE): la bande dessinée fait sa révolution (2013); Mattotti/ Infini (2015) and Enki Bilal (2020). Today, the FHEL is proud to be associated with the invitation extended to over 300 artists and authors to push open this door and leave their mark on history.
