Artemisia Gentileschi (1593-c. 1656) was one of the few women artists of the modern era to make a living from painting, thanks to her international success.
This protagonist of Caravaggesque painting was particularly celebrated for her heroines and portraits.
The exhibition revisits Artemisia's work through the paintings of artists with whom she had professional or family ties, notably her father Orazio Gentileschi and the French painter Simon Vouet.
