PoMo is a new museum in Trondheim, the main coastal city of central Norway.

PoMo will bring international modern and contemporary art to the city through a new permanent collection and an evolving programme of temporary exhibitions.

PoMo is thoughtfully transforming Trondheim’s spectacular Art Nouveau Post Office building into an inclusive and inspiring cultural destination, spanning 4000 square metres over five storeys (including 1400 square metres of exhibition spaces).

PoMo will be the first museum project delivered by architect and designer India Mahdavi, working in collaboration with architect Erik Langdalen.

PoMo is an initiative of REITAN following a longstanding art interest within the Reitan family. Led by Director Marit Album Kvernmo, the private museum will be at the centre of the city’s vibrant new cultural quarter.

PoMo will open with a group exhibition titled ‘Postcards From The Future’, running 15 February – 22 June 2025.
