Meriem Bennani (1988 in Rabat, Morocco) lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Her work uses video, animation, sculpture, drawing and installation to create a narrative that borrows from the languages of reality TV, documentaries, and mobile phone images. She explores narrative potential while exaggerating reality through a strategy that combines magical realism and humour.
