The exhibition will present a hundred drawings, which corresponds to a sixth of the collection of the Ecole nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris (Fine Art School) in Paris. This unique collection is composed of works by professors from 1660-1720, and students from 1750-1790. Following first a chronological then thematic order, the academies will evoque the team of Charles Le Brun and of Versailles (Champaigne, Coypel, Jouvenet, Lafosse, Mignard) then artists from the end of Louis XIV’s reign with Largillierre and Rigaud, to end the exhibition with the Age of Enlightenment, including the Rococo generation (Boucher, Natoire, Nattier, Van Loo) and French Neoclassicists (Vincent, Brenet, Gros, Drouais).
