Put your schoolbooks away for the autumn holidays and get ready for some fun: you won’t want to miss any of the shows being held around the region. First stop: Aix-en-Provence, where Julie Nioche makes children part of her show, turning them into characters in modern video games that will take over the square. Over the next few days, either in Aix or in nearby towns, all performance venues are getting in on the excitement. Hear stories such as Un Beau Matin, Aladin by Charles Tordjman, see the Alhambra-Ensemble Télémaque’s film-concert event Zut et qu’ça saute! Des contes chinois, watch a brand new performance by Italian theatre company Tpo, Jeanne Béziers’s Little Red Riding Hood… But that’s not all! There’s also Les Z’Expressives, specialised in theatre for children, who will organise workshops, performances and afternoon concerts, while Skappa! takes families on a strange journey of discovery through unchartered territory right in their own backyard. Nurseries will also present shows for the littlest audiences. In addition to two plays, children can make a trip to Laterna Magica, see an exhibition, and try their hand at pottery, design, cooking, and even philosophy in workshops designed just for them in the Notre-Dame-du-Mont neighbourhood.
