After having exhibited at the Jardin des Tuileries and the Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (2009), Claude Lévêque offers a new journey at Château Labottière, public anchor of L’Institut Culturel Bernard Magrez at Bordeaux.
Adapting works in situ, the artist makes the viewer rediscover the space it invests, to grasp the nuances of light. He also calls for a personal and universal route, that of his childhood, which comes as a mechanic poetic meditation.
"Mon Repos au Château" is none other than the invitation to dive into oneself, to dust off the memories that no one suspects are still alive. An innermost self of the artist is revealed as a mirror reflective. With strength and sometimes violence, his works re-enchant the child in all of us.
